Buffi and Kumar Escape Prosecution

Buffi Wicks and Kaplan Madi are principles in the White House efforts to massage the artistic community--that fringy bit that gets a piece of the 167.5 Million Dollar tax dollar wasteland known as the National Endowment of the Arts (up from 155 million)--to "get involved in things that we're passionate about as we did in the campaign...to support the presidents initiatives."

 

Kumar (Kaplan Madi aka Kal Penn) left his film career to work for the oh-so reputable Valerie "slum lord" Jarrett, and Buffi is Jarret's deputy director of the Orwellian White House public engagement office.  Kumar and Buffi used taxpayer dollars to exchange emails and phone calls about the plan to use taxpayer dollars to pay artists to push political issues designed to convince taxpayers to part with more taxpayer dollars, and to just Love Obama.  He's so groovy.

 

All the Rube Goldbergian semantics aside, its a violation of federal law.

 

Now that doesn't mean much in an administration that hires tax cheats to run the IRS, has communications directors who fancy tolerance on the level of Mao (30 million silenced?) or needs 36 Czars to keep Obama's ego inflated, (plus or minus a few) so odds are good nothing will come of it, but it serves another worthy purpose.  It shows us again what a bunch of lying manipulative power abusing dirt bags they all are.
